Find your ProjectCupid AppointmentRelease Dates

Enter your preferred marriage license interview date and City Clerk ceremony date, and we’ll show you when those appointment slots are expected to become available.

Please note:
  • Your marriage license interview happens in person at a City Clerk’s office in one of NYC’s five boroughs.
  • Both partners must be physically located in New York State for the marriage license interview.
  • There’s a mandatory 24-hour wait between getting your license and having your ceremony.
  • These examples are specific to New York City. Other parts of New York State follow different rules.

Appointment slots are usually released on Monday mornings around 9:00 AM Eastern Time. The timing is not always exact, so start checking a little before 9:00 AM and keep refreshing if they have not appeared yet. If that Monday is a public holiday, appointments are usually released on the next business day.

Marrying with a private officiant instead? Leave the ceremony date blank. You’ll schedule your ceremony directly with your officiant.

This is a planning helper, not legal advice. Always verify current appointment availability, public holiday changes, and requirements with the NYC City Clerk before making final plans. If a release Monday is a holiday, appointments are usually released the next business day.
